1. Perform the CAN malfunction diagnosis according to the recommendation of malfunction diagnosis, and if there is no CAN malfunction, perform inspection for DTCs.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [07/2015 - ]

2. Is the DTC displayed?

   No

Yes 

GO TO THE APPLICABLE DTC INSPECTION. Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [07/2015 - ]

1. Cool down the engine.
2. When the ignition is switched ON, does the engine coolant temperature warning light illuminate or flash?

   No

1. Switch the ignition ON (engine on).
2. Monitor the PID ECT using the Techstream.
3. Verify that the low engine coolant temperature indicator light illuminates when the ECT monitor value is 55 °C {131 °F} or more
4. Does the low engine coolant temperature indicator light illuminate?

   No

No 

THE SYSTEM IS OPERATING NORMALLY.

1. Inspect the ECT sensor.
