Installation [07/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL MANUAL TRANSAXLE SHIFT MECHANISM 
    1. Make sure that the manual transaxle is in neutral position.
    2. Install the control cable using the following procedure:
      1. Install the control cable.

      2. Install the fastening nuts for the grommet.

        *a Nut
        N*m (kgf*cm, ft.*lbf): Specified torque

        Torque: 8.4 N*m (86 kgf*cm, 74 in.*lbf) 

      3. Install the fastening nut for the control cable.

        *a Nut
        N*m (kgf*cm, ft.*lbf): Specified torque

        Torque: 22 N*m (224 kgf*cm, 16 ft.*lbf) 

      4. Connect the control cable to the bracket.

      5. Install the control cable end to the manual transaxle.
        1. Install the control cable end to the manual transaxle.
        2. Install the lock pin as shown in the figure and lock the control cable end (manual transaxle side).

      6. Install the battery tray and battery.

        Refer to INSTALLATION [07/2015 - ]

      7. Install the air cleaner and air hose as a single unit.

        Refer to INSTALLATION [07/2015 - ]

    3. Install the shift lever using the following procedure:
      1. Install the shift lever.

        *a Nut
        N*m (kgf*cm, ft.*lbf): Specified torque

        Torque: 19 N*m (194 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf) 

      2. Connect the connector to shift lever as shown in the figure.

        *b Clip
        *c Connector
      3. Connect the control cable to the shift lever.

      4. Connect the control cable end (shift side) from shift lever as shown in the figure.

        *b Nut
        N*m (kgf*cm, ft.*lbf): Specified torque

        Torque: 9.0 N*m (92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf) 

      5. Use the following procedure to install the control cable end (selector side) to the shift lever.

        HINT: 

        Because the vehicle may have been moved during the servicing, verify that the shift lever is in neutral again.

        1. Install the control cable end (select side) to the shift lever.
        2. Verify that the shift lever and the manual transaxle are in the neutral position.
        3. Shift the shift lever to fourth gear.
        4. Press in the lock piece in the direction shown in the figure. (1 in Fig.)

        5. Shift the shift lever to the neutral position.
      6. Install the rear console.

        Refer to INSTALLATION [07/2015 - ]

      7. Install the side wall.

        Refer to INSTALLATION [07/2015 - ]

      8. Install the front console.

        Refer to INSTALLATION [07/2015 - ]

      9. Install the CD player. (with CD player)

        Refer to INSTALLATION [07/2015 - ]

      10. Install the front console box.

        Refer to INSTALLATION [07/2015 - ]

      11. Install the console side panel.

        Refer to INSTALLATION [07/2015 - ]

      12. Install the shift panel.

        Refer to INSTALLATION [07/2015 - ]

      13. Install the shift lever knob.
      14. Install the upper panel.

        Refer to INSTALLATION [07/2015 - ]

      15. Install the shift bezel.

        Refer to INSTALLATION [07/2015 - ]

      16. Install the center console tray.

        Refer to INSTALLATION [07/2015 - ]

    4. Connect the negative battery cable.

      Refer to INSTALLATION [07/2015 - ]
