Door Glass Other Than Driver's Door Cannot Be Operated Using Subswitchs (Can Be Operated Using Power Window Main Switch) [07/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. VERIFY IF MALFUNCTION CAUSE IS OPERATION UNDER OPERATION PERMISSION CONDITION 
    1. Turn the power-cut switch off (contact point: closed) and perform open/close operation.
    2. Does the power window system operate normally?

      Result

      Result
      Yes
      No

    Result:  2

    Yes 

    SYSTEM IS NORMAL. (TELL THE CUSTOMER ABOUT THE POWER CUT SWITCH.) 

    Result:  1

    No

  2. POWER WINDOW SWITCH CONNECTOR INSPECTION 
    1. Switch the ignition off.
    2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

      Refer to REMOVAL [07/2015 - ]

    3. Disconnect the power window switch connector.
    4. Inspect the connector engagement and connection condition and inspect the terminals for damage, deformation, corrosion, or disconnection.
    5. Is the connector normal?

      Result

      Result
      Yes
      No

    Result:  2

    No

    Yes

  3. VERIFY IF MALFUNCTION CAUSE IS POWER WINDOW SWITCH POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT 
    1. Connect the power window switch connector.
    2. Connect the negative battery cable.

      Refer to INSTALLATION [07/2015 - ]

    3. Measure the voltage at power window switch (RF) terminal F6-3 (vehicle wiring harness side).
    4. Measure the voltage at power window switch (LR) terminal F7-3 (vehicle wiring harness side).
    5. Measure the voltage at power window switch (RR) terminal F8-3 (vehicle wiring harness side).
    6. Is the voltage B+?

      Result

      Yes
      No

    Result:  1

    Yes

  4. VERIFY IF MALFUNCTION CAUSE IS CORRECTED 
    1. Does the power window system operate normally?

      Result

      Result
      Yes
      No

    Result:  1

    Yes 

    TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED. (EXPLAIN THE PROBLEM TO THE CUSTOMER.) 

    Result:  2

    No 

    VERIFY THE MALFUNCTION SYMPTOM IN THE SYMPTOM TROUBLESHOOTING CHART AND PERFORM THE OTHER APPLICABLE MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS. 

  5. REPLACE THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE POWER WINDOW SWITCH, THEN GO TO THE NEXT STEP. 
    1. Refer to REMOVAL [07/2015 - ]
    2. Refer to REMOVAL [07/2015 - ]

  6. INSPECT THE P.WINDOW1 30A FUSE. 
    • If the fuse is damaged:
      • Replace the fuse.
    • If the fuse is normal:
      • Refer to the wiring diagram and verify if there is a common connector between P.WINDOW1 30A fuse and power window switch (RF) terminal F6-3.
      • Refer to the wiring diagram and verify if there is a common connector between P.WINDOW1 30A fuse and power window switch (LR) terminal F7-3.
      • Refer to the wiring diagram and verify if there is a common connector between P.WINDOW1 30A fuse and power window switch (RR) terminal F8-3.
      • If there is a common connector:
        • Inspect the common connector and terminals for corrosion, damage, or disconnection and the common wiring harnesses for open or short circuit to determine the malfunctioning location.
        • Repair or replace the malfunctioning location.
      • If there is no common connector:
        • Repair or replace the wiring harness which has an open or short circuit.
    1. Go to the next step.

  7. REPAIR OR REPLACE THE CONNECTOR, THEN GO TO STEP 4.
