Entire Combination Meter does not Operate [11/2013 - ]: Procedure
- INSPECT FUSE (METER, ECU-B, IG2)
- Remove the METER fuse from the main body ECU.
- Remove the ECU-B and IG2 fuse from the engine room relay block.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition METER fuse Always Below 1 Ω ECU-B fuse Always Below 1 Ω IG2 fuse Always Below 1 Ω - Reinstall the fuses.
NG → REPLACE FUSE
OK: Go to next step
- Remove the METER fuse from the main body ECU.
- INSPECT INTEGRATION NO. 2 RELAY (IG2 RELAY)
- Remove the integration relay from the engine room relay block. Refer to REMOVAL [11/2013 - ]
.
- Measure the resistance to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1E-1 - 1A-4 Always 10 kΩ or higher Battery voltage applied to terminals 1A-2 and 1A-3 Below 1 Ω - Reinstall the integration relay.
NG → See step 5
OK: Go to next step
- Remove the integration relay from the engine room relay block. Refer to REMOVAL [11/2013 - ]
.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the C37 meter connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition C37-1 (B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V C37-2 (IG+) - Body ground Ignition switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V - Measure the resistance according to the value in the table below.
Standard resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition C37-24 (ET) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK → See step 4
- Disconnect the C37 meter connector.
- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to REMOVAL [11/2013 - ]
- REPLACE INTEGRATION NO. 2 RELAY. Refer to REMOVAL [11/2013 - ]
