DTC B1690/15: Door Side Airbag Sensor RH Malfunction; DTC B1692/81: Lost Communication with Door Side Airbag Sensor RH: Procedure
- CHECK DOOR SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR RH

- Turn the power switch off.
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.WARNING:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
- Interchange the door side airbag sensor RH with door side airbag sensor LH and connect the connectors.
- Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
- Turn the power switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Clear the DTCs stored in the memory. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
- Turn the power switch off.
- Turn the power switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Check for DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR
.RESULT
Result Proceed to DTC B1690/15, B1692/81, B1695/16 and B1697/82 are not output. A DTC B1690/15 or B1692/81 is output. B DTC B1695/16 or B1697/82 is output. C TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION*1 Door Side Airbag Sensor LH *2 Airbag ECU Assembly HINT:
Codes other than DTCs B1690/15, B1692/81, B1695/16 and B1697/82 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check.
- Turn the power switch off.
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.WARNING:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
- Return the door side airbag sensor RH and door side airbag sensor LH to their original positions and connect the connectors.
