DTC P0A94-585: Inverter Performance; DTC P0A94-587: Inverter Performance: Procedure
- CHECK DTC OUTPUT (EV)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / EV / Trouble Codes.
- Check if DTCs related to the EV control system are output.
Result
Result Proceed to DTC P0A94-585 or P0A94-587 only is output, or DTCs other than the ones in the table below are also output. A Any of the following DTCs are also output. B DTC No. Relevant Diagnosis P0A1A-151, 155, 156, 658, 659 Generator Control Module P0A1B-164, 193, 512, 661, 786 Drive Motor "A" Control Module P0A1D-148 EV Control Module P0A1F-832, 833 Battery Energy Control Module P0A78-266, 267 Drive Motor "A" Inverter Performance P0A94-589, 590 Inverter Performance P2511-149 ECM/PCM Power Relay Sense Circuit Intermittent P3004-132 High Voltage Power Resource P324E-788 MG-ECU Power Relay Intermittent Circuit U0110 (all INF codes)*1 Lost Communication with Drive Motor Control Module "A" U0111-826 Lost Communication with Battery Energy Control Module "A" HINT:
- *1: If any INF codes are output for this DTC, refer to the corresponding diagnostic procedure.
- P0A94-585 or P0A94-587 may be output due to a malfunction which causes the DTCs in the table above to be output. In this case, first troubleshoot the output DTCs in the table above. Then, perform a reproduction test to check that no DTCs are output.
- Turn the power switch off.

- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / EV / Trouble Codes.
- Read and record the DTCs and freeze frame data.
HINT:
The recorded DTCs and freeze frame data may be used in Steps 9, so make sure to record them.
- Clear DTCs and freeze frame data.
- Turn the power switch off.

- CHECK DTC OUTPUT (VOLTAGE SENSOR MALFUNCTION LOCATION INSPECTION)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Leave the vehicle for 15 seconds with the power switch turned on (READY).
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / EV / Trouble Codes.
- Check if DTCs related to the EV control system are output.
Result
Result Proceed to No DTCs are output, or DTCs other than the following are output. A P0AFC-129 (EV battery voltage circuit malfunction) is output. B P3004-132 (high voltage power supply line problem) is output. - Turn the power switch off.

- CHECK DTC OUTPUT (ROAD TEST)
- Turn the power switch on (READY).
- Perform a road test that repeats full acceleration to 60 km/h (37 mph) and then braking to a complete stop three times.NOTE:
Perform this road test only in an appropriate safe location, in accordance with all local laws.
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / EV / Trouble Codes.
- Check if DTCs related to the EV control system are output.
Result
Result Proceed to No DTCs are output, or DTCs other than the following are output. A P0AFC-129 (EV battery voltage circuit malfunction) is output. B P3004-132 (high voltage power supply line problem) is output. - Turn the power switch off.

- Turn the power switch on (READY).
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / EV / Data List.
- Select "Battery No. 1 Power Resource VB", "VL-Voltage" and "VH-Voltage" in the Data List.
- Shift lever is in P, and read the Data List when the vehicle is stationary.

Result Proceed to Both of the following are not satisfied. A Both of the following are satisfied: - Difference between "Battery No. 1 Power Resource VB" and "VH-Voltage" is less than 5 V.
- Difference between "VL-Voltage" and "VH-Voltage" is more than 45 V.
B Both of the following are satisfied: - Difference between "VH-Voltage" and "VL-Voltage" is less than 5 V.
- Difference between "Battery No. 1 Power Resource VB" and "VH-Voltage" is more than 15 V.
C - Turn the power switch off.
