DTC P0A10-592: DC / DC Converter Status Circuit High Input: Procedure
- CHECK POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU (CHECK WAVEFORM) See step 3
NG → See step 6
OK: Go to next step
- CLEAR DTC See step 4
NEXT: Go to next step
- CHECK DTC OUTPUT (EV)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / EV / Trouble Codes.
- Check if DTCs related to the EV control system are output.
Result
Result Proceed to DTC P0A10-592 is not output. A DTC P0A10-592 is output again. B - Turn the power switch off.
B → See step 5
A: Go to next step
- CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS
Refer to CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE MALFUNCTIONING PARTS, COMPONENT AND AREA
OK: Go to next step
- POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU MUST BE REPLACED
- Even though it has been determined that the power management control ECU needs to be replaced, make sure to inspect the voltage difference between No. 1 EV battery and No. 2 EV battery before replacing it.
NEXT → See step 12
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INVERTER WITH CONVERTER ASSEMBLY - POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU) WARNING:
Be sure to wear insulated gloves.
- Check that the service plug grip is not installed.NOTE:
After removing the service plug grip, do not turn the power switch on (READY), unless instructed by the repair information because this may cause a malfunction.
- Disconnect the inverter with converter assembly connector.
- Disconnect the power management control ECU connector.
- Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.Fig 1: Measuring Voltage Of Inverter With Converter Assembly - Power Management Control ECU Harness & Connector

- Turn the power switch off.
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
- Reconnect the inverter with converter assembly connector.
- Reconnect the power management control ECU connector.
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- Check that the service plug grip is not installed.
- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (BATTERY NO. 1 BLOCK VOLTAGE, BATTERY NO. 2 BLOCK VOLTAGE)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / EV Battery / Data List / Battery No. 1 Block Voltage -V01 to V12 and Battery No. 2 Block Voltage -V01 to V12.
- Separately find the sums of Battery No. 1 Block Voltage - V01 to V12 and also Battery No. 2 Block Voltage - V01 to V12.
- Find the difference between the sum of Battery No. 1 Block Voltage - V01 to V12 and the sum of No. 2 Battery No. 2 Block Voltage - V01 to V12.
Standard
The difference between the two sums has an absolute value of less than 5 V.
HINT:
Refer to the following formula to calculate the difference.
|(Battery No. 1 Block Voltage -V01 + V02 + V03 + V04 + V05 + V06 + V07 + V08 + V09 + V10 + V11 + V12) - (Battery No. 2 Block Voltage -V01 + V02 + V03 + V04 + V05 + V06 + V07 + V08 + V09 + V10 + V11 + V12)| < 5 V.
Result
Result Proceed to Difference between the two sums is 5 V or more. A Difference between the two sums is less than 5 V. B - Turn the power switch off.
B → See step 9
A: Go to next step
- REPLACE ELECTRIC VEHICLE BATTERY ASSEMBLY
- Replace the electric vehicle battery assembly. Refer to COMPONENTS
.NOTE:
At this point it has been determined that the power management control ECU must be replaced, but it is necessary to first replace the electric vehicle battery assembly. If the parts are replaced in the wrong order and the SMR is connected, the fuse inside the electric vehicle battery assembly may blow.
NEXT: Go to next step
- Replace the electric vehicle battery assembly. Refer to COMPONENTS
.
- REPLACE POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU
