DTC U0293-831: Lost Communication with EV Control Module: Procedure

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
3. Turn the Techstream on.
4. Enter the following menus: Health Check.
5. Read output DTCs.
   RESULT
   
   

   Result	Proceed to
   Only U0293-831 is output	A
   Any CAN communication system DTC other than U0293-831 is also output.	B

6. Turn the power switch off.

B → GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM 

A: Go to next step 

1. Even though it has been determined that the power management control ECU needs to be replaced, make sure to inspect the voltage difference between No. 1 EV battery and No. 2 EV battery before replacing it.
