"RECHARGE INLET DOOR IS OPEN" is Displayed Continuously on the Multi-information Display: Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT 
    1. Check if CAN communication DTC is output. Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM .
      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      CAN communication DTC is not output. A
      CAN communication DTC is output. B

    B → See step   8 

    A: Go to next step 

  2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (CHARGE LID SW) See step   2 

    NG → See step   3 

    OK → See step   10 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PLUGIN CHARGE CONTROL ECU) 
    1. Disconnect the plugin charge control ECU connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      C26-29 (LDLP) - Body ground Charge lid closed Below 1 V

      *a Rear view of wire harness connector
      (to Plugin Charge Control ECU)

    NG → See step   4 

    OK → See step   11 

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SPOT LIGHT ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the spot light assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O1-1 (B) - Body ground Charge lid closed Below 1 V

      (to Spot Light Assembly)

    NG → See step   6 

    OK: Go to next step 

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SPOT LIGHT ASSEMBLY - PLUGIN CHARGE CONTROL ECU) 
    1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O1-2 (E) or C26-29 (LDLP) - Body ground Always Below 1 V
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O1-2 (E) - C26-29 (LDLP) Always Below 1 Ω
      O1-2 (E) or C26-29 (LDLP) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      (to Plugin Charge Control ECU)

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   12 

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SPOT LIGHT ASSEMBLY - CHARGING PORT OPENING LID LOCK SUB-ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the charging port opening lid lock sub-assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O1-1 (B) or O2-2 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 V
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O1-1 (B) - O2-2 (E) Always Below 1 Ω
      O1-1 (B) or O2-2 (E) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      (to Charging Port Opening Lid Lock Sub-assembly)

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  7. INSPECT CHARGING PORT OPENING LID LOCK SUB-ASSEMBLY See step   9 

    NG → See step   9 

    OK → See step   13 

  8. GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING 
  9. REPLACE CHARGING PORT OPENING LID LOCK SUB-ASSEMBLY. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY - Step 5 
  10. REPLACE PLUGIN CHARGE CONTROL ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  11. REPLACE PLUGIN CHARGE CONTROL ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  12. GO TO "CHARGE LID ILLUMINATION MALFUNCTION". Refer to  Charge Lid Illumination Malfunction  
  13. USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING
