DTC B1655: Seat Belt Buckle Switch (RH): Procedure
- CHECK DTC (OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM)
- Check for DTCs of the occupant classification system. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [07/2013 - ]

- CHECK CONNECTORS
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Check that the connectors are properly connected to the occupant detection ECU and front seat inner belt assembly RH.
OK
The connectors are properly connected.
HINT:
If the connectors are not connected securely, reconnect the connectors and proceed to the next inspection.
- Disconnect the connectors from the occupant detection ECU and front seat inner belt assembly RH.
- Check that the terminals of the connectors are not damaged.
OK
The terminals are not deformed or damaged.
NG → See step 14
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK FRONT SEAT WIRE RH (SHORT TO B+)
- Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 4 - Body ground Ignition switch ON Below 1 V 8 - Body ground Ignition switch ON Below 1 V - Turn the ignition switch off.
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.WARNING:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

- Clear the DTCs stored in the airbag ECU assembly. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [07/2013 - ] .
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Check for DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [07/2013 - ]

- CHECK FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.WARNING:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
- Replace the front seat inner belt assembly RH with a known good one. Refer to REMOVAL [07/2013 - ]

HINT:
Perform the following inspection using known good parts from another vehicle if possible.
- Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Clear the DTCs stored in the occupant detection ECU. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [07/2013 - ] .
- Clear the DTCs stored in the airbag ECU assembly. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [07/2013 - ] .
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Check for DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [07/2013 - ]

- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Restore the front seat inner belt assembly RH that was installed for testing to its original location. Refer to REMOVAL [07/2013 - ] .

- CHECK FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Replace the front seat assembly RH with a new one. Refer to REMOVAL [07/2013 - ] .
- Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Connect the connectors to the occupant detection ECU and front seat inner belt assembly RH.
- Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Clear the DTCs stored in the occupant detection ECU. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [07/2013 - ] .
- Clear the DTCs stored in the airbag ECU assembly. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [07/2013 - ] .
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Check for DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [07/2013 - ]

- GO TO OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART). Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [07/2013 - ]
- REPLACE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to REMOVAL [07/2013 - ]
