DTC B1625: Side Airbag Sensor LH Circuit Malfunction; DTC B16F5: Side Airbag Sensor LH Mismatch: Procedure

  1. CHECK SIDE NO. 2 AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
      WARNING:

      Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    3. Interchange the side No. 2 airbag sensor assembly LH with RH and connect the connectors.
    4. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
    5. Clear the DTCs stored in memory. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [07/2013 - ] .
    6. Turn the ignition switch off.
    7. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
    8. Check for DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [07/2013 - ] .

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTC B1625 is output. A
      DTC B1620 is output. B
      DTCs B1620 and B1625 are not output. C

      HINT: 

      Codes other than DTCs B1620 and B1625 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check.

    9. Turn the ignition switch off.
    10. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
      WARNING:

      Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    11. Return the side No. 2 airbag sensor assembly LH and RH to their original positions and connect the connectors.

  2. USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [07/2013 - 12/2013] 
  3. REPLACE SIDE NO. 2 AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [07/2013 - ] 
  4. REPLACE AIRBAG ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [07/2013 - 12/2013]
