DTC B1646/29: Rear Sensor LH Circuit: Procedure
- CHECK REAR AIRBAG SENSOR LH

- Turn the power switch off.
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.WARNING:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
- Interchange the rear airbag sensor LH with rear airbag sensor RH and connect the connectors to them.
- Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the auxiliary battery.
- Turn the power switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Clear the DTCs stored in the memory. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
- Turn the power switch off.
- Turn the power switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Check for DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR
.RESULT
Result Proceed to DTC B1641/19 and B1646/29 are not output. A DTC B1646/29 is output. B DTC B1641/19 is output. C TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION*1 Rear Airbag Sensor RH *2 Side Airbag Sensor Assembly LH HINT:
DTCs other than B1641/19 and B1646/29 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check.
- Turn the power switch off.
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.WARNING:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
- Return the rear airbag sensor LH and rear airbag sensor RH to their original positions and connect the connectors to them.

- REPLACE REAR AIRBAG SENSOR LH. Refer to REMOVAL
- REPLACE AIRBAG ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to REMOVAL
