DTC B1644/82: Lost Communication with Rear Sensor Bus LH: Description

The rear collision sensor circuit (to determine deployment of the rear window curtain shield airbag assembly) is composed of the airbag ECU assembly and rear airbag sensor LH.

The rear airbag sensor LH detects impacts to the vehicle and sends signals to the airbag ECU assembly to determine if the airbag should be deployed.

DTC B1644/81 is stored when a malfunction is detected in the rear airbag sensor LH.
