DTC B1628/82: Side Airbag Sensor Assembly LH Initialization Incomplete: Description

The side collision sensor LH circuit (to determine deployment of the front seat airbag assembly LH, front seat outer belt assembly LH, rear window curtain shield airbag assembly and curtain shield airbag assembly LH) is composed of the airbag ECU assembly, door side airbag sensor LH and side airbag sensor assembly LH.

The door side airbag sensor LH and side airbag sensor assembly LH detect impacts to the vehicle and send signals to the airbag ECU assembly to determine if the airbag should be deployed.

This DTC is stored when a malfunction is detected for the side collision sensor LH circuit (to determine deployment of the front seat airbag assembly LH, front seat outer belt assembly LH, rear window curtain shield airbag assembly and curtain shield airbag assembly LH).
