DTC B1623/81: Side Airbag Sensor Assembly RH Initialization Incomplete: Procedure
- CHECK HISTORY DTC
- Turn the power switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Check for history DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR

- CHECK CONNECTORS
- Turn the power switch off.
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.WARNING:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
- Check that the connectors are properly connected to the airbag ECU assembly, door side airbag sensor RH and side airbag sensor assembly RH.
OK
The connectors are properly connected.
HINT:
If the connectors are not connected securely, reconnect the connectors and proceed to the next inspection.
- Disconnect the connectors from the airbag ECU assembly, door side airbag sensor RH and side airbag sensor assembly RH.
- Check that the terminals of connectors are not damaged.
OK
The terminals are not deformed or damaged.
NG → REPLACE WIRE HARNESS
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK DOOR SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR RH
- Interchange the door side airbag sensor RH with door side airbag sensor LH and connect the connectors to them.
- Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
- Turn the power switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Clear the DTCs stored in the memory. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
- Turn the power switch off.
- Turn the power switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Check for DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR
.RESULT
Result Proceed to DTC B1623/81 is output. A DTC B1628/82 is output. B DTC B1623/81 or B1628/82 is not output. C TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION*1 Door Side Airbag Sensor LH *2 Airbag ECU Assembly HINT:

- Turn the power switch off.
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.WARNING:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
- Return the door side airbag sensor RH and door side airbag sensor LH to their original positions and connect the connectors to them.
