Charge Lid Opener does not Operate: Procedure
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 1 CHARGE OPENER RELAY POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)
- Remove the No. 1 charge opener relay from the No. 2 motor compartment relay block.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 2 - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 1 CHARGE OPENER RELAY - BODY GROUND)
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω 3 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 1 CHARGE OPENER RELAY - ECU-B NO. 2 FUSE)
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 4 - Body ground Charge opener lid switch ON 11 to 14 V

OK: Go to next step
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
- INSPECT NO. 1 CHARGE OPENER RELAY
- Inspect the No. 1 charge opener relay. Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION - Step 1 .
NG → REPLACE NO. 1 CHARGE OPENER RELAY
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 2 CHARGE OPENER RELAY - ECU-B NO. 2 FUSE)
- Remove the No. 2 charge opener relay from the No. 2 motor compartment relay block.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 5 - Body ground Power switch off 11 to 14 V
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CHARGE LID LOCK ASSEMBLY - NO. 2 CHARGE OPENER RELAY)
- Reconnect the O3 charge lid lock assembly connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 3 - O3-1 (B) Always Below 1 Ω 3 or O3-1 (B) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT NO. 2 CHARGE OPENER RELAY
- Inspect the No. 2 charge opener relay. Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION - Step 2 .
NG → REPLACE NO. 2 CHARGE OPENER RELAY
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CHARGE LID LOCK ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition O3-2 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- INSPECT CHARGE LID LOCK ASSEMBLY
- Remove the charge lid lock assembly. Refer to DISASSEMBLY - Step 3
- Inspect the charge lid lock assembly. Refer to INSPECTION - Step 1

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY (CHARGE LID OPENER SWITCH) - NO. 1 CHARGE OPENER RELAY)
- Reconnect the C4 integration control and panel assembly (charge lid opener switch) connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 4 - C4-14 (SW-) Always Below 1 Ω 4 or C4-14 (SW-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY (CHARGE LID OPENER SWITCH) - NO. 2 CHARGE OPENER RELAY)
- Remove the No. 2 charge opener relay from the No. 2 motor compartment relay block.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 2 - C4-5 (SW+) Always Below 1 Ω 2 or C4-5 (SW+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

- INSPECT INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY (CHARGE LID OPENER SWITCH)
- Remove the integration control and panel assembly (charge opener switch). Refer to REMOVAL - Step 5 .
- Inspect the integration control and panel assembly (charge lid opener switch). Refer to INSPECTION - Step 1 .
