DTC B1695/16: Door Side Airbag Sensor LH Malfunction; DTC B1697/82: Lost Communication with Door Side Airbag Sensor LH: Procedure

1. Turn the ignition switch off.
2. Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
3. Interchange the side airbag sensor LH (for front side) with side airbag sensor RH (for front side) and connect the connectors to them.
4. Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
5. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
6. Clear the DTCs stored in the memory. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
7. Turn the ignition switch off.
8. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
9. Check for DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
   RESULT
   
   

   Result	Proceed to
   DTC B1690/15, B1692/81, B1695/16 and B1697/82 are not output.	A
   DTC B1695/16 or B1697/82 is output.	B
   DTC B1690/15 or B1692/81 is output.	C

   HINT: 

   DTCs other than B1690/15, B1692/81, B1695/16 and B1697/82 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check.

10. Turn the ignition switch off.
11. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
12. Return the side airbag sensor LH (for front side) and side airbag sensor RH (for front side) to their original positions and connect the connectors to them.
