Speedometer Malfunction: Procedure
- CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
- Check if a CAN communication DTC is output. Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM

- Check if a CAN communication DTC is output. Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM

- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (SPEED METER OPERATION)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.
- According to the display on the Techstream, perform the Active Test.COMBINATION METER

Acceptable range (MPH): [Control range → Speedometer display]
• 40 → 40 to 42.8
• 80 → 81.1 to 84.3
• 120 → 122.5 to 125.70/40/80/120/160*1 km/h Vehicle is stopped and ignition switch ON
Acceptable range (MPH): [Control range → Speedometer display]
• 40 → 39.2 to 43.7
• 80 → 79.8 to 85.2
• 120 → 121.6 to 126.6
• 160 → 163 to 168- *1: for CANADA
OK
Speedometer indication is normal.

OK: Go to next step
- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (VEHICLE SPEED METER)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Data List.
- According to the display on the Techstream, read the Data List.COMBINATION METER

- Check if a vehicle stability control DTC is output. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR
