Inspection [03/2012 - ]

  1. INSPECT HIGH PITCHED HORN ASSEMBLY

    1. Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the horn according to the table below.

      OK

      Measurement Condition Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1
      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2
      High pitched horn sounds
      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *a Component without harness connected
      (High Pitched Horn Assembly)

      If the result is not as specified, replace the high pitched horn assembly.

  2. INSPECT LOW PITCHED HORN ASSEMBLY

    1. Check that the low pitched horn sounds when the battery voltage is applied between the terminal and the bracket.

      OK

      Measurement Condition Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1
      Battery negative (-) → Horn bracket
      Low pitched horn sounds
      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *1 Bracket
      *a Component without harness connected
      (Low Pitched Horn Assembly)

      If the result is not as specified, replace the low pitched horn assembly.
