Speedometer Malfunction: Procedure

1. Connect a Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the Techstream on.
3. Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
4. Clear the DTC. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
5. Recheck for DTC. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .

1. Connect a Techstream to the DLC3.

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
3. Turn the Techstream on.
4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.
5. According to the display on the Techstream, perform the Active Test.

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
3. Turn the Techstream on.
4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Data List.
5. According to the display on the Techstream, read the Data List.

   NOTE:

   Determine whether the value displayed on the tester is within the acceptable range by referring to reference values described in "ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION" See step  1.

1. Replace the combination meter assembly with a new or normal one. Refer to REMOVAL .

   OK

   The operation of the speedometer returns to normal.
