Fuel Gauge Malfunction: Procedure
- CONFIRM DTC OUTPUT
- Connect a Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the Techstream on.
- Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
- Clear the DTC. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
- Recheck for DTC. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR

Result Proceed to DTC B1500 is not output A DTC B1500 is output B

- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (FUEL METER)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.
- According to the display on the Techstream, perform the Active Test.COMBINATION METER
Tester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note Fuel Meter Operation Fuel gauge Empty, 1/2, Full Vehicle is stopped and engine is idling OK
Needle indication is normal.

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY) See step 3
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
- Replace the combination meter assembly with a new or a normal one. Refer to REMOVAL

The operation of the fuel receiver gauge returns to normal.
