DTC B1620/21: Side Airbag Sensor RH Circuit Malfunction; DTC B1622/81: Lost communication with Side Airbag Sensor RH; DTC B1625/22: Side Airbag Sensor LH Circuit Malfunction; DTC B1627/82: Lost communication with Side Airbag Sensor LH: Procedure

1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
2. Clear the DTCs stored in memory. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
3. Turn the ignition switch off.
4. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
5. Check for DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
   RESULT
   
   

   Result	Proceed to
   DTC B1620, B1622, B1625 and B1627 are not output	A
   DTC B1625 or B1627 is output	B
   DTC B1620 or B1622 is output	C

C: Go to next step 

1. Turn the ignition switch off.

2. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
3. Interchange the side airbag sensor RH with LH and connect the connectors to them.
4. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
5. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
6. Clear the DTCs stored in memory. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
7. Turn the ignition switch off.
8. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
9. Check for DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
   RESULT
   
   

   Result	Proceed to
   DTC B1620, B1622, B1625 and B1627 are not output	A
   DTC B1625 or B1627 is output	B
   DTC B1620 or B1622 is output	C

   HINT: 

   Codes other than DTC B1620, B1622, B1625 and B1627 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check.

10. Turn the ignition switch off.
11. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
12. Return the side airbag sensor RH and LH to their original positions and connect the connectors to them.

2. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds.

4. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
5. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.

7. Turn the ignition switch off.
8. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
9. Check for DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
