Fuel Receiver Gauge Malfunction: Procedure
- CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
- Check if a CAN communication DTC is output. Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM

- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (FUEL METER OPERATION)
- Use the Active Test to check the operation of the fuel receiver gauge. Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST
.COMBINATION METER
Tester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note Fuel Meter Operation Fuel receiver gauge Empty, 1/2, Full Confirm that the vehicle is stopped with the engine idling. OK
Fuel receiver gauge indication is normal.

- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (FUEL INPUT)
- Use the Data List to check if the fuel receiver gauge is operating properly. Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST

- Use the Data List to check if the fuel receiver gauge is operating properly. Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER - FUEL SUCTION PLATE SUB-ASSEMBLY)
- Disconnect the C50 meter connector.
- Disconnect the H12 gauge connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition C50-11 (L) - H12-2 (FS) Always Below 1 Ω C50-10 (E) - H12-3 (FE) Always Below 1 Ω C50-11 (L) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher C50-10 (E) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT FUEL SUCTION PLATE SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Remove the fuel suction plate sub-assembly. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
