Front Brake Flexible Hose: Removal: Removal

HINT: 

NOTE:

If the RH side flexible hose and LH side flexible hose are both removed from the vehicle at the same time, place an identification mark on each hose so that it can be reinstalled to its original position.

  1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL 
  2. REMOVE CENTER COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER  . Refer to REPLACEMENT - Step 1
  3. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID 
    NOTE:

    Immediately wash off any brake fluid that comes into contact with any painted surfaces.

  4. REMOVE FRONT FLEXIBLE HOSE 
    1. Remove the union bolt and gasket and disconnect the front flexible hose.

    2. Using a union nut wrench, disconnect the brake line while holding the front flexible hose with a wrench.

      NOTE:
      • Do not kink or damage the brake line.
      • Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt or dust to enter the brake line.
    3. Remove the clip.
    4. Detach the speed sensor harness clamp from the absorber bracket.
    5. Remove the 2 bolts, speed sensor harness bracket and front flexible hose from the absorber bracket and steering knuckle.
