Terminals Of Ecu

  1. CHECK COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

    1. Disconnect the C37 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
      Terminal No. (Symbol) Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
      C37-1 (B) - Body ground W - Body ground Battery Always 11 to 14 V
      C37-2 (IG+) - Body ground P - Body ground Ignition switch signal Ignition switch off → ON Below 1 V → 11 to 14 V
      C37-24 (ET) - Body ground BR - Body ground Ground Always Below 1 V

      If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.

    3. Reconnect the combination meter assembly connector.
    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      C37-9 (TIRE) - Body ground P - Body ground Tire pressure warning light signal Ignition switch ON,

      If the result is not as specified, the combination meter assembly may have a malfunction.

        Tester Range 5 V/DIV., 50 ms./DIV.
        Vehicle Condition Ignition switch ON

        Terminal Connections C37-19 (SI) - Body ground
        C37-20 (+S) - Body ground
        Tester Range 5 V/DIV., 20 ms./DIV.
        Vehicle Condition Driving at approximately 20 km/h (12 mph)

        HINT: 

        As the vehicle speed increases, the cycle of the signal waveform narrows.

  2. CHECK MAIN BODY ECU

    1. Disconnect the 2A, 2E and C45 main body ECU connectors.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
      Terminals No. (Symbol) Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
      2A-21 (DCTY) - Body ground W - Body ground Driver side door courtesy switch input Driver door
      CLOSED → OPEN
      10 kΩ or higher → Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.

    3. Reconnect the main body ECU connectors.
    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      2C-5 (PKB) - 2E-17 (GND1) B - W-B Parking brake signal Ignition switch ON,
      Parking brake warning light
      OFF → ON

      C45-23 (CANH) - Body ground R - Body ground CAN communication line Ignition switch ON Pulse generation

      If the result is not as specified, the main body ECU may have a malfunction.

  3. COMBINATION METER INTERNAL CIRCUIT
