Tachometer Malfunction: Procedure
- CONFIRM DTC OUTPUT (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)
- Connect a Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch on and turn the tester on.
- Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
- Clear the DTC. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
- Recheck for DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR

- Connect a Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch on and turn the tester on.
- Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
- Clear the DTC. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
- Recheck for DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR

- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (TACHOMETER)
- Connect a Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch on and turn the tester on.
- Operate the Techstream according to the display and select "Active Test". Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST

- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (TACHOMETER)
- Connect a Techstream to the DLC3.
- Engine start and turn the tester on.
- Operate the Techstream according to the display and select "Data List". Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST
