Front Bumper: Disassembly

  1. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE 
    1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 12 claws and remove the radiator grille.

  2. REMOVE RADIATOR LOWER GRILLE 
    1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 18 claws and remove the radiator lower grille.

  3. REMOVE FOG LIGHT COVER LH 
    1. Disengage the 4 claws and remove the fog light cover.

  4. REMOVE FOG LIGHT COVER RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  5. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front bumper hole cover.

  6. REMOVE CLIP 
    1. Remove the clip.

      HINT:

      Use the same procedure for the remaining parts.

  7. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RETAINER 
    1. Remove the front fender liner retainer.

      HINT:

      Use the same procedure for the remaining parts.

  8. REMOVE GROMMET 
    1. Remove the grommet.

      HINT:

      Use the same procedure for the remaining parts.

  9. REMOVE HEADLIGHT UNIT LH  (See REMOVAL )
  10. REMOVE HEADLIGHT UNIT RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  11. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT UPPER ABSORBER 
    1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 6 claws and remove the radiator support upper absorber.

  12. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER 
    1. Remove the front bumper energy absorber.

  13. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH 
    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    3. Disengage the 3 claws and remove the front bumper side retainer.
  14. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  15. SEPARATE THERMISTOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the 2 clamps and separate the thermistor.

  16. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIATOR SIDE AIR SEAL 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the No. 2 radiator side air seal.

  17. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR SIDE AIR SEAL 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure as for the No. 2 side.

  18. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT EXTENSION LH 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the radiator support extension.

  19. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT EXTENSION RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  20. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT 
    1. Using a clip remover, remove the 6 clamps and disconnect the No. 2 engine room wire.

    2. Remove the 6 bolts, 4 nuts and the front bumper reinforcement.

  21. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts and the front bumper arm.

      HINT:

      The front bumper arm cannot be removed easily if the stud bolts on the back side are caught in the body.

  22. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  23. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER STONE DEFLECTOR BRACKET LH 
    1. Remove the 2 nuts and the front bumper stone deflector bracket.

  24. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER STONE DEFLECTOR BRACKET RH 

    HINT:
