Front Wiper Motor: Removal
- REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM COVER
- Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claw and remove the 2 windshield wiper arm covers.
- REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH
- Operate the wiper, then stop the windshield wiper motor in the automatic stop position.
- Remove the nut and front wiper arm.
- REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
- REMOVE HOOD TO COWL TOP SEAL
- Disengage the 5 clips and remove the hood to cowl top seal.
- REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH
- Remove the clip.
- Disengage the 6 claws and remove the cowl top ventilator louver.
- REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER LH
- Remove the clip.
- Disengage the 2 claws and remove the cowl top ventilator louver.
- REMOVE FRONT WIPER MOTOR AND LINK
- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Slide the wiper link. Disengage the link from the rubber pin, then disconnect the connector and remove the front wiper motor and link.
- REMOVE FRONT WIPER MOTOR
- Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, pry the second rod off the crank arm pivot of the front wiper motor.
- Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, pry the first rod off the crank arm pivot of the front wiper motor.
- Using a "TORX" socket wrench T30, remove the 2 screws, and the front wiper motor.
