Inspection Procedure
- INSPECT FUSES (MET, ECU-B, AM2)
- Remove the MET fuse from the main body ECU.
- Remove the ECU-B and AM2 fuse from the engine room relay block.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester Connection Condition Specified Condition METER fuse Always Below 1 Ω ECU-B fuse Always Below 1 Ω AM2 fuse Always Below 1 Ω - Reinstall the fuses.
NG: REPLACE FUSE
OK: Go to Next Step
- INSPECT INTEGRATION RELAY (IG2 RELAY)
- Remove the integration relay from the engine room relay block (See REMOVAL ).
- Measure the resistance to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1B-1 - 1B-4 Always 10 kΩ or higher Battery voltage applied to terminals 1B-2 and 1B-3 Below 1 Ω - Reinstall the integration relay.
NG: REPLACE INTEGRATION RELAY (See REMOVAL )
OK: Go to Next Step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the F1 combination meter assembly connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage
STANDARD VOLTAGE SPECIFICATIONSTester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition F1-2 (ECUB) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V F1-1 (IG2)-Body ground Ignition switch on 11 to 14 V - Measure the resistance according to the value in the table below.
Standard resistance
TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester Connection Condition Specified Condition F1-13 (ET) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω - Reconnect the combination meter assembly connector.
