Data List / Active Test

  1. READ DATA LIST 

    HINT:

    Using the tester's "DATA LIST" or "Data List" allows switch, sensor, actuator and other item values to be read without removing any parts. Reading the "DATA LIST" or "Data List" early in troubleshooting is one way to save time.

    1. Connect an intelligent tester or a Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch on (IG) and turn the tester on.
    3. Select the following menu items:
      1. Intelligent tester - Select: DIAGNOSIS / OBD / MOBD / METER / DATA LIST.
      2. Techstream - Select: Body Electrical / Powertrain or Chassis / (desired system) / Data List.
    4. Check the results by referring to the table below.

  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST 

    HINT:

    Performing the tester's "ACTIVE TEST" or "Active Test" allows relay, VSV, actuator and other items to be operated without removing any parts.

    Performing the "ACTIVE TEST" or "Active Test" early in troubleshooting is one way to save time.

    The "DATA LIST" or "Data List" can be displayed during the "ACTIVE TEST" or "Active Test".

    1. Connect an intelligent tester or a Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch on (IG) and turn the tester on.
    3. Select the following menu items:
      1. Intelligent tester - Select: DIAGNOSIS / OBD / MOBD / METER / ACTIVE TEST.
      2. Techstream - Select: Body Electrical / (desired system) / Active Test.
    4. Perform the "ACTIVE TEST" or "Active Test" by referring to the table below.
