Roof Headlining: Removal

  1. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY 
  2. REMOVE DECK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY 
  3. REMOVE BACK DOOR SCUFF PLATE 
    1. Using a clip remover, detach the 4 clips and remove the scuff plate.
  4. REMOVE BACK DOOR WEATHERSTRIP 
  5. REMOVE SPARE WHEEL COVER ASSEMBLY 
  6. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX LH 
    1. Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips and box.
  7. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX RH 
    1. Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips and box.

  8. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX REAR 
  9. REMOVE NO. 1 DECK BOARD 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the bolt and rope hook.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Using a clip remover, detach the 4 clips and remove the deck board.

  10. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 FLOOR BOARD 
    1. Using a clip remover, detach the clip and remove the board.

  11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE OUTSIDE LH 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 clips and remove the scuff plate.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  12. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE OUTSIDE RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  13. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 10 claws and remove the scuff plate.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  14. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  15. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the cap nut.
    2. Using a clip remover, detach the 2 clips and remove the trim.

  16. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  17. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  18. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH  (See REMOVAL )
  19. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH  (See REMOVAL )
  20. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 
  21. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH 
  22. REMOVE NO. 1 SIDE TRIM ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the 2 floor anchor bolts (front and rear seat belt).
    2. Using a clip remover, remove the clip labeled A.
    3. Using a screwdriver, detach the claw labeled A and remove the hook of the trim by turning it counterclockwise.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    4. Using a clip remover, detach the 8 clips.
    5. Detach the 3 claws and remove the trim.

  23. REMOVE NO. 1 SIDE TRIM ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  24. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH 
    1. Remove the 2 screws.
    2. w/o Curtain shield airbag:

      Using a clip remover, detach the clip and remove the garnish.

    3. w/ Curtain shield airbag:

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and clip, and remove the garnish.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  25. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  26. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH INNER LOWER LH 
    1. Using a clip remover, detach the 5 clips and remove the garnish.

  27. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH INNER LOWER RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  28. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Insert a 3 mm hexagon wrench into the hole A to disengage the claw, then remove the luggage hook from the side panel.
    2. Remove the luggage hook, bolt and rope hook.
    3. Using a clip remover, detach the 4 clips.
    4. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the side panel.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  29. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  30. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH ASSEMBLY INNER LH 
    1. w/o Curtain shield airbag:

      Using a clip remover, detach the 4 clips and remove the garnish.

    2. w/ Curtain shield airbag:
      1. Using a clip remover, detach the 3 clips labeled A.
      2. Using a screwdriver, firmly push the pin to disengage the clip labeled B.

        HINT:

        • Clip B cannot be reused.
        • Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  31. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH ASSEMBLY INNER RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  32. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH 
    1. w/o Curtain shield airbag:

      Using a clip remover, detach the 2 clips and remove the garnish.

    2. w/ Curtain shield airbag:
      1. Using a clip remover, detach the clip labeled A.
      2. Using a screwdriver, firmly push the pin to detach the clip B.

        HINT:

        • Clip B cannot be reused.
        • Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    3. w/ Curtain shield airbag:

      Protect the curtain shield airbag LH.

      1. Thoroughly cover the airbag with a piece of cloth or nylon that is 700 mm (27.56 in.) x 120 mm (4.72 in.) and fix the ends of the cover with adhesive tape, as shown in the illustration.
        NOTE: Cover the curtain shield airbag with the protective cover as soon as the pillar garnish is removed.

  33. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  34. REMOVE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a clip remover, detach the 3 clips and remove the light.
    2. Disconnect the map light connector.

  35. REMOVE NO. 1 ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the lens.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the light.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    3. Disconnect the light connector.
  36. REMOVE NO. 2 ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the light from the deck trim side panel LH.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  37. REMOVE LH VISOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and visor.
  38. REMOVE RH VISOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and visor.
  39. REMOVE VISOR HOLDER LH 
    1. Remove the visor holder by turning it counterclockwise.

  40. REMOVE VISOR HOLDER RH 
    1. Remove the visor holder by turning it counterclockwise.
  41. REMOVE ASSIST GRIP COVER 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 covers.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  42. REMOVE ASSIST GRIP SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the assist grip.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  43. REMOVE COAT HOOK 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and remove bolt and coat hook.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  44. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.
    2. Detach the 26 fasteners and remove the headlining.
    3. Remove the tape and the wire harness.
