Roof Headlining: Installation

HINT:

A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart (See SPECIFIED TORQUE FOR STANDARD BOLTS ).

1. INSTALL SIDE RAIL SPACER FRONT LH (w/o Curtain Shield Airbag) 
2. INSTALL SIDE RAIL SPACER FRONT RH (w/o Curtain Shield Airbag) 
3. INSTALL SIDE RAIL SPACER REAR LH (w/o Curtain Shield Airbag) 
4. INSTALL SIDE RAIL SPACER REAR RH (w/o Curtain Shield Airbag) 
5. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY 
   1. Attach the wire harness to the headlining with tape as shown in the illustration.

      HINT:

      Be careful that dirt and foreign matter do not contaminate the tape's adhesive.

   2. Attach the roof wire harness with tape.
      NOTE: Attach the roof wire harness securely.
   3. Attach the 26 fasteners to install the headlining.
   4. Install the 2 clips.

6. INSTALL COAT HOOK 
   1. Install the coat hook with the bolt and attach the claw.

7. INSTALL ASSIST GRIP SUB-ASSEMBLY 
   1. Attach the 4 claws to install the assist grip.

8. INSTALL ASSIST GRIP COVER 
   1. Attach the 4 claws to install the 2 covers.

9. INSTALL VISOR HOLDER LH 
   1. Install the visor holder by turning it clockwise.
10. INSTALL VISOR HOLDER RH 
    1. Install the visor holder by turning it clockwise.
11. INSTALL LH VISOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the visor with the 2 screws.
12. INSTALL RH VISOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the visor with the 2 screws.
13. INSTALL NO. 2 ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Attach the light to the deck trim side panel LH.
14. INSTALL NO. 1 ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the room light connector.
    2. Attach the 4 claws to install the light.

    3. Attach the 4 claws to install the lens.

15. INSTALL MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the map light connector.
    2. Attach the 3 clips to install the light.

16. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH 
    1. w/o Curtain shield airbag:

       Attach the 2 clips to install the garnish.

    2. w/ Curtain shield airbag:
       1. Remove the protective cover.

       2. Attach the 2 clips to install the garnish.

          HINT:

          Clip B cannot be reused.

18. INSTALL ROOF SIDE GARNISH ASSEMBLY INNER LH

       Attach the 4 clips to install the garnish.

20. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Attach the 4 claws and 4 clips to install the side panel.
    2. Install the rope hook with the bolt.
    3. Install the luggage hook.

    1. Attach the 3 claws and 8 clips to install the trim.
    2. Attach the clip labeled A.
    3. Install the hook.
    4. Install the 2 floor anchor bolts (front and rear seat belt).
