Front Differential Oil Seal: Installation

1. Coat the lip of a new oil seal with MP grease.
2. Using SST and a hammer, tap in the oil seal.

   SST 09608-32010, 09950-70010 (09951-07200) 

   Standard depth: 

   3.0 to 4.0 mm (0.118 to 0.158 in.) 

   NOTE: Be careful not to damage the lip of the oil seal.

1. Coat the lip of a new oil seal with MP grease.
2. Using SST and a hammer, tap in the oil seal.

   SST 09608-10010, 09950-70010 (09951 -07200) 

   Standard depth: 

   -0.5 to 0.5 mm (-0.020 to 0.020 in.) 

   NOTE: Be careful not to damage the lip of the oil seal.

1. Install drive shaft (see INSTALLATION ).

Torque: 103 N*m (1,050 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf) 

Oil grade: 

API GL-4 or GL-5 

Viscosity: 

SAE 75W-90 

Standard capacity: 

2.5 liters (2.6 US qts, 2.2 lmp. qts)

1. Inspect transaxle oil (see ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION  ).

1. Inspect wheel alignment (see FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT ).
