Inspection Procedure
- CHECK METER INDICATOR OPERATION (FUEL GAUGE)
- Disconnect the F15 gauge connector.
- Check the meter indicator conditions.
OK : GO TO NEXT STEP
WIRE CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITIONWire Connection Condition Specified Condition 2 - 3 Short circuit (ignition switch ON) Fuel gauge on combination meter indicates "F" or more - Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.
Standard voltage
WIRE CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITIONWire Connection Condition Specified Condition 2 - Body ground Ignition switch ON 10 to 14 V
NG : Go to step 3
OK : GO TO NEXT STEP
- INSPECT FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY
- Remove the fuel sender gauge.
- Connect an ohmmeter to terminals 2 and 3.
- Measure the resistance of the gauge.

NG : REPLACE FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY
OK : REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (COMBINATION METER - FUEL SENDER GAUGE)
- Disconnect the C11 connector.
- Disconnect the F15 gauge connector.
- Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance
TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester Connection Specified Condition C11-19 (FUEL) - F15-2 Below 1 Ω F15-3 - Body ground Below 1 Ω C11-19 (FUEL) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
NG : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK : REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
