Entire Combination Meter does not Operate: Wiring Diagram

  1. INSPECT FUSE (MAIN, DOME, AM2, GAUGE, AM1) 
    1. Measure the resistance of the ALT H-fuse and MAIN Hfuse in the fusible link block.

      Standard resistance: Below 1 Ω 

    2. Measure the resistance of the DOME fuse and AM2 fuse in the engine room relay block.

      Standard resistance: Below 1 Ω 

    3. Measure the resistance of the GAUGE fuse and AM1 in the instrument panel junction block.

      Standard resistance: Below 1 Ω 

    NG : REPLACE FUSE 

    OK : GO TO NEXT STEP 

  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (COMBINATION METER - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the C10 and C11 meter connectors.
    2. Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard voltage 

      TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      C10-7 (+B) - Body ground Always 10 to 14 V
      C10-1 (IGN1) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 10 to 14 V
      C11-3 (IGN2) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 10 to 14 V
    3. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      C10-3 (S GND) - Body ground Below 1 Ω

    NG : REPAIR OR REPLACE AND CONNECTOR 

    OK : REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
