On-Vehicle Inspection

  1. CHECK ILLUMINATED ENTRY SYSTEM OPERATION 

    HINT:

    The light that comes on upon entry is the No. 1 room light assembly.

    1. Turn the ignition switch OFF, close all the doors, and lock the driver's door.
    2. Unlock the driver's door, open one of the doors, and check that the No. 1 room light assembly comes on. Then, close the door and check that the No. 1 room light assembly goes off after approximately 15 seconds.
    3. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, and open and close one of the doors. Check that the No. 1 room light assembly goes off immediately.
    4. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
    5. Open and close one of the doors to turn on the No. 1 room light assembly. Before the No. 1 room light assembly goes off, after approximately 15 seconds, turn the ignition switch to the ON position, and check that the No. 1 room light assembly goes off immediately.
    6. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
    7. Open and close one of the doors to turn on the No. 1 room light assembly. Before the No. 1 room light assembly goes off, after approximately 15 seconds, lock the driver's door, and check that the No. 1 room light assembly goes off immediately.
