Headlight Dimmer Switch: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
  2. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  3. REMOVE HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the connector of the headlight dimmer switch.
    2. Detach the claw and pull out the headlight dimmer switch as shown in the illustration.

      NOTE: Pressing the claw too hard breaks the teeth.
