Roof Headlining ASSY: Replacement

HINT:

  1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 
    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 claws and 4 clips, and remove the scuff plate.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures described for the RH side.

  3. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 
    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws and 3 clips, and remove the scuff plate.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  4. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures described for the RH side.

  5. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH 
    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 clips and remove the trim board.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  6. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures described for the RH side.

  7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH 
  8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 
  9. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH 
  10. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 
  11. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LOWER RH 
    1. Remove the floor anchor cover.
    2. Remove the bolt and front seat outer belt on the floor anchor side.
    3. Disengage the 2 clips and 2 claws, and remove the center pillar garnish.

  12. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LOWER LH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures described for the RH side.

  13. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH UPPER RH 
    1. Remove the shoulder anchor cover.
    2. Remove the bolt and front seat outer belt on the shoulder anchor side.
    3. w/o Curtain shield airbag:

      Disengage the clip and remove the center pillar garnish by pulling it up.

    4. w/ Curtain shield airbag:

      Disengage the 2 clips and remove the center pillar garnish.

  14. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH UPPER LH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures described for the RH side.

  15. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSY (See  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  16. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER ASSY 
  17. REMOVE DECK BOARD NO.1 
  18. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX RH 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and floor box.
  19. REMOVE SPARE WHEEL COVER 
  20. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX REAR 
    1. Remove the 4 clips.
    2. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the trim cover.

  21. REMOVE CHILD RESTRAINT SEAT ANCHOR BRACKET SUB-ASSY RH 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts and anchor bracket.
  22. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSY RH 
    1. Remove the 2 covers and 2 screws.
    2. Remove the screw and compartment trim hook.
    3. Remove the bolt and seatback hinge.
    4. Remove the bolt and belt on the floor anchor side.

    5. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 clips and claw, and remove the side panel.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  23. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSY LH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures described for the RH side.

  24. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH INNER RH 
    1. w/o Curtain shield airbag:

      Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 clips and remove the side garnish.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. w/ Curtain shield airbag:

      Using a screwdriver, disengage the 5 clips and remove the side garnish.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  25. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH INNER LH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures described for the RH side.

  26. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH 
    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 clips.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws by pulling up the garnish and remove the garnish.

    3. w/ Curtain shield airbag:

      Protect the curtain shield airbag.

      1. Thoroughly cover the airbag with cloth or nylon that is 700 mm (27.56 in.) x 120 mm (4.72 in.) and fix the ends of the cover with adhesive tape, as shown in the illustration.
        NOTE: Cover the curtain shield airbag with a protective cover as soon as the front pillar garnish is removed.

  27. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures described for the RH side.

  28. REMOVE RH VISOR ASSY 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and visor.
  29. REMOVE LH VISOR ASSY 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and visor.
  30. REMOVE MAP LAMP ASSY 
    1. Remove the screw and lens cover.

    2. Remove the screw and lamp.
    3. Disconnect the map lamp connector.

  31. REMOVE ROOM LAMP ASSY NO.1 
    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 claws and remove the lens cover.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Remove the 2 screws.
    3. Disconnect the connector and remove the lamp.

  32. REMOVE ASSIST GRIP ASSY 
    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws and remove the assist grip covers.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and assist grip.

  33. REMOVE VISOR HOLDER 
    1. Remove the visor holder by turning it counterclockwise.

  34. w/ Sliding roof: 

    REMOVE SUN ROOF OPENING TRIM MOLDING 

  35. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSY 
    1. w/ Sliding roof:

      Using a clip remover, disengage the 3 clips and remove the headlining.

    2. w/o Sliding roof:

      Using a clip remover, disengage the 5 clips and remove the headlining.
