DTC Check/Clear
- CHECK DTC (USING SST)
- Check the DTCs.
SST 09843-18040
- Using SST, connect terminals TC and CG of DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch ON.
- Read the DTC from the ABS warning lamp and VSC warning lamp on the combination meter.
HINT:
- If no code appears, inspect the diagnostic circuit, ABS warning lamp circuit or VSC waning lamp circuit.TROUBLE AREA REFERENCE
Trouble Area TC TERMINAL CIRCUIT ABS WARNING LIGHT CIRCUIT VSC WARNING LIGHT CIRCUIT - The blinking patterns for a normal system code and codes 11 and 21 are shown on the left.
- If no code appears, inspect the diagnostic circuit, ABS warning lamp circuit or VSC waning lamp circuit.
- The codes are explained in the code table on DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE TABLE .
- After completing the check, disconnect terminals TC and CG of the DLC3, and turn off the display.
If 2 or more DTCs are detected at the same time, the DTCs will be displayed in numerical order.
- Clear the DTCs.
SST 09843-18040
- Using SST, connect terminals TC and CG of the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch ON.
- Clear the DTCs stored in the ECU by depressing the brake pedal 8 times or more within 5 seconds.
- Check that the ABS warning lamp and VSC warning lamp indicate the normal blinking pattern.
- Remove SST from the terminals of the DLC3.
HINT:
Clearing the DTCs cannot be performed by removing the battery cable or ECU-IG fuse.

- Checking the DTCs.
- Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch ON.
- Read the DTC by following the prompts on the tester screen.

- Clear the DTCs.
- Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch ON.
