Inspection Procedure

HINT:

  1. CHECK TERMINAL VOLTAGE (STEERING SENSOR CONNECTOR) 
    1. Remove the steering wheel and column lower cover.
    2. Disconnect the steering angle sensor connector.
    3. Turn the ignition switch ON.
    4. Measure the voltage according to the table below.

      Standard: 

      TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      S15-1 (IG) - S15-2 (ESS) 11 to 14 V
      S15-3 (BAT) - S15-2 (ESS) 11 to 14 V

    1. NG : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    2. OK : REPLACE STEERING SENSOR
