Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - ECM) 
    1. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector and the ECM connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard: 

      SKID CONTROL ECU - ECM REFERENCE

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      NEO (S3-10) - NEO (E3-17) 1 Ωor less
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

    Standard: 

    SKID CONTROL ECU - ECM REFERENCE

    Tester Connection Specified Condition
    NEO (S3-10) - Body ground 10 kΩor higher

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: Go to next step. 
  2. INSPECT ECM TERMINAL VOLTAGE (NEO TERMINAL) 
    1. Measure the voltage according to the value in the table below.

    Standard: 

    ECM TERMINAL VOLTAGE

    Tester Connection Engine Condition Specified condition
    NEO (E3 17) Body ground OFF (Ignition switch ON) 10 to 14 V or below 1 V
    ON (Idling) 10 to 14 V <->below 1 V (Pulse)

    1. NG: CHECK AND REPLACE ECM 
    2. OK: IF THE SAME CODE IS STILL OUTPUT AFTER THE DTC IS DELETED, CHECK THE CONTACT CONDITION OF EACH CONNECTION
