Inspection Procedure
- INSPECT FUSE
- Inspect the ALT fuse and MAIN fuse in the FL block.
Standard:
Below 1 Ω
- Inspect the DOME fuse in the engine room R/B.
Standard:
Below 1 Ω
- Inspect the GAUGE fuse and AM1 fuse in the instrument panel junction block assy.
Standard:
Below 1 Ω
- NG: INSPECT FOR SHORT CIRCUIT IN HARNESS AND ALL COMPONENTS CONNECTED TO FUSE
- OK: Go to next step.
- Inspect the ALT fuse and MAIN fuse in the FL block.
- INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSY
- Disconnect the combination meter connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard:
TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester connection Condition Specified condition C6-1 - Body ground Always 10 to 14 V
- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (BATTERY - COMBINATION METER ASSY) (See ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE )
- OK: Go to next step.
- INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSY
- Disconnect the combination meter connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard:
TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester connection Condition Specified condition C6-23 - Body ground Ignition switch OFF Below 1 V C6-23 - Body ground Ignition switch ON 10 to 14 V
- NG: Go to step 6 .
- OK: Go to next step.
- INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSY LH
- Disconnect the front seat inner belt assy LH connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard:
TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester connection Condition Specified condition 3 - Body ground Driver side seat belt is fastened 1,200 to 1,460 Ω 3 - Body ground Driver side seat belt is unfastened 300 to 360 Ω
- NG: REPLACE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSY LH
- OK: Go to next step.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DRIVER SIDE SEAT BELT SIGNAL CIRCUIT)
- Disconnect the combination meter connector and front seat inner belt assy connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard:
TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester connection Condition Specified condition C6-32 - B7-3 Always Below 1 Ω
- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (See ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE )
- OK: REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSY (See COMBINATION METER ASSY )
- INSPECT IGNITION SWITCH
- Disconnect the ignition switch connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard:
TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester connection Condition Specified condition I10-1 - I10-2 Ignition switch OFF 10 kΩ or higher I10-1 - I10-2 Ignition switch ON Below 1 Ω
- NG: REPLACE IGNITION SWITCH
- OK: Go to next step.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
- Disconnect the ignition switch connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard:
TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester connection Condition Specified condition I10-1 - Body ground Always 10 to 14 V
- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (IGNITION SWITCH - BATTERY) (See ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE )
- OK: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSY - IGNITION SWITCH) (See ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE )
