Preliminary Procedure: Disable the supplemental inflatable restraint (SIR) system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
1	Inflatable Restraint Instrument Panel (I/P) Module Bolt (Qty: 2) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Procedure: Open the I/P storage compartment to access bolts. Tighten: 10 N.m (89 lb in)
2	Inflatable Restraint Instrument Panel (I/P) Module Assembly WARNING: Refer to SIR Warning . WARNING: Refer to SIR Inflator Module Handling and Storage Warning . Procedure Disconnect the electrical connector. After replacing the module, deploy the old module before disposal. If the module was replaced under warranty, fully deploy and dispose of the module after the required retention period. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Module Handling and Scrapping .

Procedure

Disconnect the electrical connector.
After replacing the module, deploy the old module before disposal. If the module was replaced under warranty, fully deploy and dispose of the module after the required retention period. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Module Handling and Scrapping .
