Installation Procedure

  1. Lubricate the oil level indicator tube O-ring seal with lubricant. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers for the correct part number.
  2. Install the oil level indicator tube.
    3. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  3. Install the oil level indicator tube bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  4. Install the knock sensor clip to the oil level indicator tube.
  5. Install the fuel line clip to the oil level indicator tube.

  6. Install the engine harness clip (1) to the oil level indicator tube.

  7. If the vehicle is equipped with a engine oil cooler, install the radiator surge tank outlet hose clip to the oil level indicator tube.

  8. Install the oil level indicator.
  9. Install the air cleaner outlet resonator. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Resonator Replacement .
