Installation Procedure

  1. Install the fluid cooler pipe assembly to the vehicle.

  3. Install the transmission fluid cooler pipe push pin to the left engine support.

  5. Install the transmission fluid cooler pipe push pin to the left engine support.

  7. Connect the transmission fluid cooler pipes to the transmission fluid cooler at the radiator using the following steps:
    1. Push the transmission fluid cooler pipes (1) into the quick connect fitting, until a "click" is heard.
    2. Tug gently on the transmission cooler pipes (1) to ensure proper retention.

  9. Install new O-ring seals over the transmission fluid cooler pipes.
  10. Insert the transmission fluid cooler pipes into the transmission.
  11. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  12. Install the bolt (1) securing the transmission fluid cooler pipe retainer (2) to the transmission.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  13. Install the front closeout panel. Refer to Floor Panel Tunnel Panel Replacement - Front (Automatic Transmission) .
  14. Lower the vehicle.
  15. Inspect the transmission fluid level. Refer to Transmission Fluid Level and Condition Check .
  16. Inspect for fluid leaks.
