Preliminary Procedure NOTE: Drain only the fluid from the radiator surge tank. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE-47716) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (2.4L LE5) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill-LNF) . Disconnect the surge tank sensor electrical connector.
1	Radiator Surge Tank Cap Assembly
2	Radiator Surge Tank Retainer
3	Radiator Surge Tank Nut CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten: 9 N.m (80 lb in)
4	Radiator Surge Tank Assembly Tip: Using J 38185 position radiator surge tank hose clamps aside and remove hoses from the radiator surge tank.
