Preliminary Procedures
- Remove the instrument panel (I/P) upper trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Panel Replacement .
- Remove the I/P cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement (Solstice)
or Instrument Cluster Replacement (SKY)

- Remove the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement (SKY)
or Radio Replacement (Solstice)
.
- Remove the HVAC control module. Refer to Heater and Air Conditioning Control Replacement
.
- Remove the bolts and nuts securing the column to the I/P, lower and position the steering column out of the way. Refer to Steering Column Replacement
.

I/P Carrier Bolt (Qty: 5)
Tighten:
9 N.m (80 lb in)

I/P Carrier Screw Tighten:
9 N.m (80 lb in)

I/P Carrier Nut (Qty: 8) Tighten:
9 N.m (80 lb in)

I/P Carrier Assembly Procedures
- Note the location and routing of the I/P wiring harness prior to removing the carrier assembly in order to ensure reinstallation.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors.
- With the aid of an assistant, remove the carrier from the vehicle.
- When replacing the carrier assembly, transfer all necessary components.
