Range Selector Lever Cable Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Disconnect the range select cable (2) from the range select lever.
2. Release the range select cable retaining clip (1) and remove the cable from the range select cable bracket.
3. Remove the front floor console extension panel. Refer to Front Floor Console Extension Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).




4. Remove the range select cable (2) from the automatic transmission range select lever pin.
5. Remove the range select cable (1) from the automatic transmission range select lever housing.




6. Remove the range select cable grommet (1) from the cowl.
7. Remove the range select cable from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the range select cable to the vehicle through the cowl and the carpet.
2. Install the range select cable grommet (1) in the cowl.




3. Install the range select cable (1) to the automatic transmission range select lever housing.
4. Install the range select cable (2) to the automatic transmission range select lever pin.
5. Install the front floor console extension panel. Refer to Front Floor Console Extension Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).




6. Install the range select cable to the range select cable bracket. Ensure the range select cable retaining clip (1) is secured in the bracket.
7. Connect the range select cable (2) to the range select lever.
8. Adjust the cable. Refer to Range Selector Lever Cable Adjustment (Adjustments).
