Engine Front Cover and Oil Pump Installation

  1. Install two new friction washers.
  2. Install the engine front cover with a new gasket.

    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
    NOTE: The center bolt (1) should be tightened last.
  3. Install the engine front cover bolts and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
  4. Install the long water pump bolt and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  5. Install the accessory drive belt tensioner.
  6. Install the accessory drive belt tensioner bolt and tighten to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).
