CAUTION: Replace the passenger presence system as a complete assembly to prevent possible injury to the occupant. All the components in the service kit are assembled and calibrated as a unit. Using only some of the components in the service kit will cause the passenger presence system to operate improperly. Preliminary Procedure Remove the front seat. Refer to Seat Replacement . Re-zero the inflatable restraint passenger presence system whenever the seat cushion or any component of the passenger presence system is removed. Refer to Control Module References .
1	Nut, Seat Back Recliner NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice . Tighten: 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
2	Retainer, Seat Cushion Cover (Qty: 4) Tip: Use a J 38778 Door Trim Pad Clip Remover to aid in the removal of the seat cushion cover retainers.
3	Cover, Seat Cushion Tip: Tilt the seat back forward. Disconnect the seat cushion cover J-channel from the front and rear of the seat cushion frame. Disconnect the electrical connector if working on the passenger seat.
4	Pad, Seat Cushion Tip: The passenger presence system is part of the pad on the passenger seat cushion, and must be replaced as an assembly.
